An interesting bute shaped cup & saucer by unknown maker.Rathbone certainly made a handle very like this but we cannot confirm him as the maker. Dating to c1800.
Black printed patterns of a cottage and a stately home.
The cup has a tight hairline, some signs of slight discolouration and there is slight flaking to the rim of the saucer through use.
